Hoher Hirschberg - Eggerstanden

This restaurant has a very good reputation, so we decided to try it out on our hike from Gais to Hirschberg. It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat on the bench outside. The view was fantastic, blessed with a clear view of the...Alps. We had simple Swiss dishes. The salat was beautifully presented and the seasonal Bärlauch Spätzli was also very tasteful, so is the sausage salat. The service was friendly. They also have home made pies and a local speciality called pears bread, we are too full to try but it does smells tempting.

We stopped during a hike for lunch and had a great meal. The bratwurst and frites were great as as the gemischter salad (mixed salad).

We were here for Sunday brunch. beautiful outsight, but terrible eating and rude service of a certain girl who was in her twenties. she rolled her eyes when we wanted to order a coffee, and we all saw it on our table. we were. a non-swiss couple fed with a local Swiss couple, the only conclusion that not Swiss are not welcome. certainly will not return and will not send any of our friends in this direction.

I was often here to dinner with friends, colleagues or family. the location is simply beautiful with a magnificent view over santis, appenzel and the alps. the restaurant is a family business with a very friendly witness. eating is good, I was here mainly...for cheese fondue that was delicious. if you want to come here, I recommend to park the car on a small parking lot on the road to the restaurant and go the distance up, it is really worth it.

Friendly people, beautiful and delicious food, good location and good prices. wonderful bakery. beautiful view of the mountain säntis and high box.
