I thought the food must be good when I saw honey containers on the tables. It is my place (and I am sniffing over Mexican restaurants). When I return to El Paso, I will be back!.
Bad service for a lonely traveler through El Paso. But damn good food. You can be practically in Juarez here. Go to the green sauce on your duck; the salsa they are lit with their hard chips while you are waiting. Coffee strong.
Delivery of the owners and food was good, but expensive
My family always ate at Leo’s back in the 70’s when my Dad was at Ft. Bliss. This was the first time I’ve been back since then and it’s good to know that some great things don’t change. <br/ <br/ The food and service were excellent. Just go. They haven’t been around this many years by accident
Had steak tacos. It is a healthy portion of cut up steak with some avocado and corn tortilla. One tortilla each so when you go for a bite it is guaranteed to fall apart dropping all the inside goodness onto your plate (or your lap if not paying attention) but it is very good food. The salsa is very good, one of the best in EP and, not sure what it is, but it has some sort of hint of horseradish in it. Ordered guacamole. Got a plate with a large leaf of lettuce which had a mound of mashed avocado on it. The edge of the plate had some diced tomatoes, and there was one ring of onion. Basically you get to chop up the onion ring, combine the tomato, add salt, and have a serving of guacamole, minus the jalapeños and then a huge mound of leftover avocado. The service was exceptional; our waiter was very attentive to his tables and ensured we never had an empty glass.
