New York Bakery - El Cajon

Had soup and sandwich for lunch. Couldn't resist, and bought some pastries and bread to take home!

My son and I visited this bakery for the first time today. We went to Boston a couple of years ago and spent a lot of time in the North End (the Italian part . We fell in love with cannolis! However, since returning to the West Coast, we have repeatedly been disappointed in the soggy tubes of goo that pass for cannoli here. NEW YORK BAKERY SAVED US!! The cannoli was fabulous, the chocolate mousse was fabulous, and the sfogliatelle was fabulous too! The gentleman in the shop (I'm guessing the owner? was SO NICE and helpful. We will definitely be back. TOMORROW!

I love New York Bakery! I buy two or three cookies every time I go to El Cajon!

Everything is fresh and delicious and the owners are very friendly.

Ok New Yorkers Here is what you do. Get there at 8AM Order a coffee and a roll with butter. Sit sip and eat while you look at all the cases. After you say 'Ooh I remember those. Have to have one ' Finish your coffee and get one or two of each item you 'remember ' then say hello to the people in your new bakery. Ok the prices aren 't the same as when you were a kid. Remember you are not a kid anymore. Connestoga Wagons no longer provide transportation OK. Visit your new baker NOW FINALLY i SWEAR I HAVE NO INTEREST FINANCIALLY OR FAMILIARLY IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT. JUST LOVE THE STUFF!!!!!
