I? ve heard a lot about Poor Reds and had to try. It was definitely worth the hype. We went on a Friday night and although they were busy, we didn't wait long. We sat inside overlooking the terrace and the bar that was entertaining. The gold Cadillac is a must try. I loved it. We ordered the loaded potato skins with shredded pork that were good, crispy potato skins and lots of cheese. I asked more about her delicious sauce. My friends ordered the ribs and they were tender from the bone. Although my friend kept going there the day Red actually owned it, and he thought it wasn't almost as good as before, I had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. A great local dive with good food, good drinks and a good atmosphere.
I waited all summer, and it was like that. Some of the younger employees seemed to be everywhere as though they were excessively loud at a personal party. The wings where not very warm and there were several dead flies on the window bench. Other then that there was a cute place of bar area was quite crowded and the potato skins were really good
Food and great? Drinks? Excellent customer service at any time. Location is also unique as they have long been nearby and remain faithful to local traditions. You need to add Elena? Tequila Sunset? Menu. Absolutely come back?
We were visiting family in the area and they recommended Poor Reds BBQ for lunch of course, after we tasted wine and ate chocolates at Annabelle's across the street. At Poor Reds BBQ (very dog friendly) you can expect excellent service, hearty portions and some of the best barbecue you've ever had. DO NOT miss having their signature drink The Gold Cadillac. I started with that then went to a nice glass of Cabernet to go along with my steak. Delicious!!
