Tacos Chinampa - El Cajon

Wasn't our cup of tea. Asada was dry and just meat. Had to order cilantro onions and radishes as a side dish didn't automatically come with it. Salsa selections were plentiful but not labeled. Table had not been cleaned.

Had the tacos al pastor, flautas and stuffed quesadillas. The flautas were a little dry, but the tacos al pastor was great. Not the best taco we had, but very very good and no frills (best kind of taco there is). It all came with a side of beans and rice. And the salsas are really good just watch out for that spicy one!

Good tacos, really bad customer service! Especially the cashier that thinks he 's above you looking you down because you used a coupon for a promotion they have advertised! I have been ordering here for years and last week my friend gave me a coupon for buy one get one free order. The Guy cashier whos there in the afternoon 's has no customer service skills , he 's very rude, I received my order with 5 tacos instead of the 6 advertised on both packages, the guy stated there wasn 't any butter available for the baked potato and the salsas and guacamole were very watered down. Owner if you are going to have such advertisement train your cashier to be customer service oriented unless he 's related to you then teach to take care of the business.

If you want good authentic tacos with no frills, this is the place. A taco meal comes with SIX tacos and rice /beans. You?re choice of meat, is put into perfectly fried tortillas, not too soft not too crispy. G grilled onions are provided but the rest is up to you. There?s a self serve bar with all the toppings you could want, so dress your tacos to your likings and enjoy! If you have a ?bad? taco you have no one to blame!

This place gets super pack during lunch hours. Sitting is very tight. Place is super bright . It?s very loud. The food was ok kinda bland like a lot of Mexican food in this town. The reason I give it a three star is because the salsa bar is on point and so is the beans that you get with every order. Both are well made and extremely flavorful. Would go back only for those two items.
