Many years ago, after visiting Bart from Richmond, I would get off at El Cerrito PlZ station and go to AllStarts Donuts and sit 30min to have a cup of coffee and donuts. I would sit there and study almost every day. It was the only store opened at 6:00. The owners are always friendly and have great customer service. And of course the donuts are always fresh. Now I can say it's just 5 minutes walk from my apartment.

Thai tea is legit actually strong real tea! What I needed today. Friendly people too. In any case, you will check the rest of the menu. Bring cash, the card is expensive.

I've been visiting this donut shop for years because they offer the largest and freshest tasting donuts around. Every time I go, I make sure to order at least a dozen so I can enjoy them over several days. The donuts are incredibly soft and fluffy, especially if you get them early in the morning. You can really taste the difference in quality throughout the day. They have a great variety of donuts, muffins, and other pastries as well. One must-try item is their giant croissants, which are the size of bear paws! These croissants are buttery and fluffy on the inside, with a perfectly flaky exterior. They also serve delicious savory sandwiches made to order. The owners are very friendly and often throw in an extra treat or two as a bonus for your patronage. They used to accept only cash, but during my most recent visit, I noticed they now accept credit cards for purchases of $10 or more, otherwise, there’s a small fee to cover the credit card processing costs. This is a wonderful local business that has been serving the residents and visitors of El Cerrito for years. Apologies for the attached photo; we couldn’t resist digging into the warm donuts as soon as we got them! Haha!

The donuts here are delightful and wonderfully fluffy! I've been on the hunt for a great donut shop, and I've finally found it! Plus, they now accept credit cards.
