Cuñado's - El Paso

The food here is excellent, with a lovely presentation. The decor of the restaurant is quite appealing. They offer a variety of salsas: two red, one green, and Pico de Gallo. We did have to wait a bit before someone could seat us, though. One downside is that the music was excessively loud. If you're looking to have a meeting or a conversation, this might not be the right place for you. Our visit at 4 PM could be a factor, so it's possible that the atmosphere is quieter earlier in the day. If you're considering a lunch meeting, you might want to check the noise level then.

The ambiance is lovely. We ordered the chicharrones and a small shrimp cocktail, both of which were very tasty. However, the chicharrones weren't as meaty as I remember from a few years ago. A mariachi singer was performing, and he was quite good. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I really wanted to like this place but it was mediocre. The queso fundido con rajas was good, I didn't really care much for the corn tortillas. I had the Cuñados Plato which came with two carne asada tacos (these were good and the small corn tacotortillas were very good, too) a red enchilada (meh) and a chile relleno (it was dry) the rice and beans were good, butsincerely the food tasted like it was made with old oil. I do not recommend the flan or the churros either, they were not good.I feel I paid way too much money for what I received. Oh, the limonada was delicious and my friend had a margarita (withlimonada and not the margarita mix) and she loved it. I most likely won't return. The staff was kind.

I was somewhat disappointed with my experience. I had visited their Montwood location years ago and had a great time, but this visit fell short of my expectations. Our server seemed frustrated and was rude, which affected the overall atmosphere. The kitchen closes at 10 PM on Saturdays, but they do keep a limited menu available with just 3-4 items, most of which are appetizers. I've definitely had better food elsewhere. The one highlight of the evening was the entertainment—a live band with a clever singer who engaged the audience. Overall, I probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Typical Mexican restaurant smelling like fabuloso. The food presentation was also horrible the menu is piece of paper that has very little selection.
