I highly recommend trying their fresh drinks, such as the lemonade and horchata, which were great. If you enjoy soups, be sure to try the tortilla soup. They serve the broth in a metal pot that keeps it hot for a long time, which I really enjoyed.
Normally the service food is good, but not today. I went in just for a cheesecake, the lady was rude acts like she's doing you a favor to do her job. The dessert was also very dry mot good at all. Very disappointed in the service. Not worth my time.Should've gone elsewhere.
I arrived for breakfast at 8am on a Saturday. The restaurant was quite empty and I ended up waiting for over 30 minutes for my food, which arrived cold. I ordered Macahca and was disappointed to find that the queso was so watery that it was unusable. It was more like cheese-flavored water than actual queso. Given the price, I had expected better quality. In comparison, the Macahca at LUCY'S on Dyer is the gold standard!
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. We hadn't visited since the change in ownership, but we were pleasantly surprised by how great everything tasted. We tried breakfast and early lunch items, and they were all fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the flavorful and crispy tostadas. The portion size was good and they were delicious until the last bite. They also offer churros with a delicious cajeta dipping sauce that I highly recommend. The staff is kind and courteous, and the small restaurant is clean and comfortable. We will definitely be returning.
My first visit. I was very impressed. Authentic food/menu. The carnitas were perfect. The service could not have been better. This may well be my new, favorite Mexican restaurant!
