Rivas Taco Shop - El Paso

Best place so far. I have only been here a week and so far this place is fire. I?m not giving it a five because os little things. The meat was a little salty, my coke was not cold and the staff a was not serious it polite and helpful. My wife got a chimiechanga and my kids got a carne asada quesadilla. They where both really good. I got/ made what I call cielo, mar y tierra, which is grilled chicken, grilled meat and shrimp. It was pretty good. I feel like the hot sauce took a lot away from my burrito. By the way, the red hot sauce is pretty spicy. I would recommend to swap it out for a chipotle salsa. Other then that it?s was good. I will probably be back soon to try more things from the menu.

The taco Supreme ? platter is my favorite. Their food has the savory flavor and right seasoning that makes me come back. You can't beat Their cucumber water. Delicious!!

I think it's been a very long time since the owner has sat down and ordered from their own restaurant. Rivas must have been a good place at some point, but now it is just an oversalted, cheap quality, and overpriced mess. I ordered the nachos and the watery guacamole was sloppily thrown to one side. There was hardly any cheese or beans, and last time I checked those aren't some pricey items , so I'm not sure why they decided to be stingy about them. If you are not a local and have no nostalgic ties to this establishment, then I highly suggest you take your hard earned money elsewhere. This place is atrocious.

A very decent Taco Shack, very friendly staff, vey generous portions, a definite different take worth trying out. Not busy, and fast service. Must try again.

Yeah these tacos are off the chain. The Asada fries are highly recommend. Will not be disappointed with them. And if you?re craving dessert try the strawberry ? churro alamode ????????
