Semonair - El Prat de Llobregat

Barcelona airport and everyone sweating. Unbelievable. So if you think to escape the hot city, the airport is not the answer.

Flying back from Barcelona you may be told to arrive 3 hours before your flight because of enhanced security. Please be aware that although security is busy the real issue is immigration/ passport control and if you are flying to U.K. and other non-Schengen destinations expect to queue for over an hour. This restaurant is perfectly ok but was mad busy but I'd get through passport control before eating, or for that matter shopping. Apparently it's been this way since Easter it isn't made clear where the log jam is but my pics of the queue in front and behind me should show you

€25 menu was okay deal for an airport. Stuffed red peppers were puke warm. Service was apauling. We have been to the other restaurant next door which is much better. Would avoid

Worst meal ever! We went to this restaurant to have a quick lunch before flight to Germany. I ordered the summer menue with ceviche prawns and baby calamari. The ceviche were old chewing gum like prawns within a red sauce. It looks like a cocktail. The the baby calamari came. I didn't even touch because it looked disgusting and it were definitely not baby calamari. If I could have given minus 5 stars I would have gone for this option. Service also was not attending at all. My woman had even to shout for some olive oil...

My wife and I had lunch at Semonair between flights. Many of the other eateries were fast food places, and we wanted something more relaxed. The menu offered a good range of plates and of tapas, at reasonable prices. We selected tapas of cheese, croquettes, cannelloni (cheese and spinach) and of sardines, wine and beer, followed by coffees. Good service, quiet environment, reasonable price given the location.
