Sunrise Asian - ELIZABETH BAY

This place was recommended to us by Cam from Acme and he was spot onIn fact, this was the first place we went to right off our 15 hour flight.

Would describe as Asian fusion with dishes suitable for sharing. In addition to being a restaurant, it is a provedore and retail store, meaning seasonal fresh ingredients across the menu. We chose several starters for our small group followed by 3 mains. Seafood the highlight while meat dishes had wonderful flavours. The timing of each courses' delivery was spot on and service with a smile throughout. Is Potts Point pricing but BYO means overall good value for quality food using the freshest ingredients.

Delicious tasting menu with varied dishes extremely well executed. The elements of each dish really stood out, my only critique is the fish sauce, soy, or indo salty soy sometimes was too powerful... I would greatly reduce this or look at other saucing options. Otherwise I can't fault my expectations here. I will be back for more!

A group of four savoured the delights of Sunrise Asian for dinner. We were treated to a range of entrees, served tapas style, enabling tastes of several dishes. And then, mains. The entrees include Blue Swimmer Crab with lime and coriander, roast duck pancake with green mango, and prawns, saltbush, butterfly pea dumpling with black vinegar. The dumplings are an amazing colour. Mains included Tonkin jasmine salad with grilled prawns and pork belly and a whole fish (forget what type it was) with steamed rice. Every dish had a complex range of flavours and was a real delight to the taste buds. For the four of us, the meal was around $260. Thoroughly recommended. The café is small, one the night we were there windows were open to the street, perfect environment for dining on a balmy evening. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely recommended.
