Stephanie's Bbq - Elizabeth

Stephanie's BBQ is small and quaint, on the corner of a neighborhood. Everyone was rushing around making food and answering phones... hustling. We were greeted and sat, we asked for recommendations and the young lady said we couldn't go wrong with anything. Most things were served family style and seemed like they did quite a bit of take out orders. I ordered the chicken kabobs cooked perfectly, so delicious. I got a half order (2 kabobs) with a side of fries and black beans. The black beans were good but they were even better with some of their house hot sauce added. My friend ordered the steak and chicken combo, same sides, the steak was tender and seasoned well, chicken was on the bone, not my preference, but he said it was tasty. It was kind of a long wait for food but I assume that is because it was made once ordered, and I was okay with that. While we waited we had some bread and butter which was delicious and we got a second basket. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some authentic Latin, delicious barbecue.

Horrible salmon and salad! Both were soggy and no flavor. Would never get food from here again. It was so dry and tasteless. The salad was old old old! Threw it all out.

If you’re hungry and looking for some quality Portuguese food in the Elizabeth area, I recommend Stephanie’s BBQ. I’ve been buying food from Stephanie’s for many years now and if you order, be sure to wait anywhere from 30-45 minutes for your order. I usually order a combo that comes with rice, fries, beef ribs, and an order of half a chicken. The food is always consistent and that’s what makes this place a go to spot. Only downfall is the wait time but they receive many orders at peak hours so try to order ahead.

The flame grilled chicken and ribs just can 't get any better than Stefanie 's! You 'll smell the food cooking before entering and see it on the open flame rotisserie inside! The grill men and grill women know exactly what they 're doing, as they prepare the best tasting food (and rice) that sticks to your ribs . You 'll go back again and again!

Food is good the service is HORRIBLE! They are so rude and add unnecessary comments. They talk to you anyway they feel like it. Every time I order and pick up there’s always a nasty attitude or just rude. Disgusting.
