Applebee's Grill And Elk Grove

Excellent beer (Lagunitas Little Sumpin) Good service, host, server, bartender. Burger in the menu looks so appetizing, and BIG!. But the actual burger is small, tastes good. The fries tastes fresh and nicely fried. Music is not too loud, good for afamily crowd. The portions of foods are a small. They gave my little one a nice fun activity, but they run out of crayons,bummer?

So I took my mother out for a late night dinner and she chose Applebee's, so I got her ready,put the wheelchair in the trunk and we were off, when we got there it looked like they were short staffed, they had three servers on the floor and it took about40-45 minutes to get a seat, but since my mom isn't able to get out much we waited it out, we were sat in a handicap friendlyarea, ordered our drinks which didn't take long and then we ordered our food which took a while but it was ok. I did order myburger medium rare but they ended up cooking it all the way through, mom ordered the classic chicken Alfredo which she enjoyed.All in all it was an ok time with my mom, just make a reservation if you don't want to wait like I did

Ok so...we have been staying away from this location for a while since the bad service but after the movies last night my son wanted to get a cheeseburger, his favorite place. I agreed, maybe something has changed, since a lot of the Applebee's been doing renovations, morale seemed to be good at other locations and hoped this one was better now. Sadly it hasn't changed. We went in around 930pm, about 2.5 hrs from closing, not too packed. We walked in, no greeter, waited about 5 mins before anyone even came to ask if we wanted to order out or a table. Older gentleman, asked for a table, told us the bar is open. Clearly, i am with a child, not going to sit at the bar. Pointed to the section facing the parking lot, told me that section is closed. ok, pointed to the other side, he looked rolled his eyes and proceeded to walk us to a table there. We sat down in a section where no one greeted us for about 20 mins to offer water or even take a drink order. The waitress barely spoke english (we made it work). She finally asked our drinks and if we are ready to order our food. She took everything down and went about her business. My son wanted to add some mozzarella sticks, asked her, she said ok. We were waiting for our food maybe about 20mins. Not bad. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, it had barely any pink left. My son enjoyed his cheeseburger but idk why the bacon was in pieces and not a whole slice on the burger. The tipsy cupid was just strawberry puree and ice, no alcohol at all. WE NEVER GOT THE MOZARELLA sticks. I asked her if she put them in, SHE TOLD ME THAT I NEVER ORDERED ANY. We asked for a check, which i was told to use the tablet on the table, had to swipe my card 5 times for it to finally take with the chip. No one was paying attention or anything. We would come to this location religiously until new management or whatever happened few years ago and now its just garbage. Just sad.

Applebees is always hit or miss, this time it was a miss. The fries were not fresh, the burger was way overcooked. Our server didn't have much energy, while she was nice, she lacked the energy needed to work in a restaurant.

Family of 5 visit as we don't have many Applebee's in our home town and everyone was all over the place with what they wanted to eat before leaving. Arrived during lunch and took advantage of the 2 for $25 deal that included 2 Cheeseburgers and 2 salads. I was on my salad kick so I had one each and then ordered the Classic Combo for everyone to nibble on. I had the Riblets and subbed out the fries for Brocoilli. Other family members had the Southwest Chicken Bowl and the Mashed Potatoes Brocolli sides as their main. It got busy pretty quickly for lunch, but no complaints outside of the fries for one of the cheeseburger plates not being hot... but they were quickly replaced. Service again is key for me and our server was prompt with refills, making adjustments to our meals and grabbing after thought items for us. We missed out on the happy hour deals but it was a good reminder of what we were missing and would look forward to another visit.
