Mimi's Cafe - Elk Grove

My wife and I visited for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. I chose the stuffed French toast, while she ordered the eggs benedict Florentine. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. We were seated quickly and received our meals within ten minutes of ordering. After hearing about other restaurants in my area closing during the pandemic, I was relieved to find Mimi’s Cafe still open. They offer unique flavors that are hard to come by elsewhere.

The location is also great, just off the freeway with plenty of parking and nearby shopping. One thing that stands out is their bar, which serves up some great drinks. The mimosas are particularly noteworthy, with three different flavors that take you on a flight. It's a perfect way to start your day or enjoy a weekend brunch. While the service is generally good, there was one instance where a waitress had a nasty attitude. However, the reviewer took the opportunity to let her know that her day could get worse. I use to love this place....no more bread nor my favorite carrot cake bread . Before almost the bread was waiting for you to be eaten. And now, they basically don't want to give you anything...(it's not freeeeee, I pay for a good service/food! I got my delicious blue cheese walnut salad, and it had chicken...when I never asked for it. Poor service, I prefer to cook at home. Good bye Mimi's Cafe
