Silver Diner - Elkridge

The Local Flat Iron Steak was outstanding! We had never tried ordering steak for delivery before, as we worried it wouldn't hold up well during transport. To our delight, we were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and delicious the entire meal turned out to be.

I absolutely love Silver Diner! I've been a loyal customer for 18 years, and it has become a Sunday and holiday tradition for me. The quality is consistently excellent, especially when dining in. However, I've encountered problems with hard or old food only when ordering takeout. Today, two pieces of French toast were hard and stale, while the others were soft. The sausage was also tough and old! On the bright side, the eggs were soft and cooked perfectly. It's really disappointing to have such a mix in one meal. That said, the chicken tenders are always outstanding!

I recently relocated from another state and had heard many positive reviews about this restaurant. I decided to play it safe with my order, opting for something fairly standard. While the food was packaged properly, unfortunately, it had been left out for too long. The bread and fries ended up soggy and lacking flavor. The delivery person mentioned that my Mocha Salted Caramel Cold Brew was being prepared when he arrived, but if that's the case, it seemed rushed because it was also very bland for a drink with that flavor profile. Overall, I was quite disappointed.

The Smoked Salmon Benedict was gross. Ot was like they put a cheese sauce on it instead of hollandaise sauce. The potatoes broke apart too easily so it made it very difficult to eat without bread. For my Buttermilk Pancakes I was given 1 syrup which was only enough for about 6 small squares.

The bread pudding was very tasty. the burger was just ok, which I think was because it was well done instead of medium, as I requested. I would try their burger in the restaurant, but I wont do it for carryout
