I used to enjoy the food at this restaurant, but my most recent experience was terrible. The chicken had a weird garlic taste and the skin was undercooked and slimy. The rice was mushy and overcooked. The mac and cheese was overly salty and dry. The cabbage had a strange odor, although it tasted fresh. It seems like the quality has gone downhill. I will not be going back.

The service we received from the woman at the register was rude. When we asked a simple question about how many oxtails come in a plate, she replied curtly that there were enough. There was no kind of greeting upon entering the restaurant, and no thank you when we paid for our meal. The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired.

The food is average. I placed an order for pick-up on Friday 2/18/2022. I ordered the Lightning Dinner with green beans, potato salad, and peach cobbler. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, the cashier seemed confused and said they didn't have a coachman. There was some miscommunication among the staff, but eventually they were able to change my order. I was disappointed they didn't have cobbler this time, hopefully next time they will have it available.

Fried chicken was good but the sides were gross (Mac and canned green beans)

Today was my first and last time visiting this establishment! If you guessed that the orange stuff on my plate was broccoli rice casserole, you guessed incorrectly! The orange stuff was classified as potato salad. It tasted like mayo and bell peppers! ?? The only reason that I gave this review one star was because that's the only way I could leave a review. The dressing didn't taste like authentic cornbread dressing at all but some glorified stove top stuffing! I'm still wandering why they put my hot green beans (not shown) in a separate container instead of placing the cold potato salad away from my hot foods. This was really a waste of money and time!
