We came here because the restaurant next door was filled up. I?ll start by saying the service was slow and they never gave us the bread, even though we asked for it a couple of times. I can?t blame the server for this, she was literally running aroundthe whole time. For the size of this place, they didn?t have enough servers. The pasta we ordered were just terrible, theseafood tasted fresh but absent was any flavor at all. It is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, I really wished thefood was as good as its decor. I think this place is only in business because of people like us who only came here because thehighly rated restaurant next door was at capacity.
The resturant-Facci in Ellicott City took our order over the phone for 4 personal 10 pizzas. We ordered 2 pizzas with Mushrooms, Onion, and Pepperoni, one pizza with Chicken, and the last with Sausage and Onion. The resturant charged us $92 forthe 4 personal 10 pizzas....no drinks....no anything else. When my daughter got home with the pizzas and showed me the receiptI was appalled. We were charged $27 for the toppings. Never will I ever patronize Facci's again. Omg! I wish the gentlemanthat took our order had told us the costs...or at least put the order in correctly. I truly feel the resturant ripped us off. What a shame...not good business.
My husband and go to Facci regularly and love the food ? it is by far one of my favorite restaurants. Service can be spotty, but last night was a huge disappointment. We went there for date night and ordered a bottle of wine at 50% off when we placed ourfood order. Food arrived, wine did not. Our server told us they were having trouble finding the bottle. More time goes by andshe comes back out and states they are out of glasses. Annoying, but okay, things happen. I?ve worked a lot of food service inseveral restaurants, so we get it and still stay nice since so many people can be jerks. We just requested the bottle of wine beserved with whatever glass was available so we could still have the wine with our food. Awhile later the server let us knowthat since the owner of the restaurant was there that night, her boss would not allow her to serve the wine without wine glassessince he did not want to look bad in front of the owner. Even though we the customer requested this, he refused. This wasdisappointing since we had been patient the whole dinner ? we were basically done at this point ? and they had not made it apriority to simply head to the dish room to clean some glasses. We told her if we could not get the wine with dinner, we did notwant it and asked for the check. I was amazed that her boss had prioritized his needs over his customers to save face with theowner. We went next door, discovered they had an even better 50% off wine deal that included both glasses and bottles, and spentour money there. We?ll return to Facci, but we?ll only order food and continue to head next door for drinks.
Great Italian restaurant. The combination of setting, menu selection, quality of preparation, and price is hard to beat (menu items, tho affordable are a la carte). I gave Facci just THREE stars for our first visit the other eve however, because thewaiter was unbelievably OVER-attentive. I'm pretty sure he was at our table at least a dozen times and more. He was asking meif our group needed boxes when we hadn't even had our food for very long. It felt very much like they wanted us fed out thedoor as soon as possible. It was a busy Friday night but there was no waiting list. I'm not sure whether that type of tableturnover is part of their business model...?... but it pretty much ruined what should have been a nice time. It was a veryrushed meal and we felt like our business wasn't wanted. We left a good tip because otherwise everything was fine, but that onething really affected the experience.
