I get my hair cut in the same shopping center and was looking for something to eat in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant. Wow. This restaurant gives me another reason to come back to Ellicott City!! The food was INCREDIBLE. Like wow. I haven’t had anything like this in the DMV. There are other noodle shops in Rockville, Gaithersburg, Northern VA etc, but this is the best I’ve had for sure. If you eat spicy, don’t be afraid to go for the extra spicy, as the normal is not very spicy BUT it is delicious in its own right. Can’t wait until I come back to Ellicot City again just so I can eat this.I got the beef dry pot and jajiangmian. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the jajiangmian sauce was a bit salty despite my efforts to mix it well with the noodles, but it was still delicious either way. Also, not sure if the lady behind the counter was the owner, but dang it she was so sweet. Very attentive in a way only an Asian mother could be ? I hope this place is around for a long time!!
Great Szechuan spot in Ellicott City! Loved the Chengdu Bell Dumplings in Chili oil and the Tianjiao Beef noodles with
Authentic Sichuan taste! As I was told, you can ask the chef to adjust the spiciness down or more. The portions are very generous. Highly recommend the dry pot and the cold jelly. My friend said the spiciness did not make her throat hurt and did not hurt her stomach. My friend was pleasantly suprised with these two dishes I shared. We cannot wait to go back for more!!! Oh, this restaurant offers party tray size if you have a big family or a party. The restaurant has an electric piano in the store. If you are a piano player, play something while you are waiting for your food. The owner can play too! What an interesting takeout restaurant in this neighborhood!
We stumbled upon this place while running errands in the area. This place is a take-out restaurant, but it has the most authentic Sichuan style food. We ordered chili oil dumplings, Chongqing noodles, pan fried noodles (chefs special), and beef dry pot. Every dish is sooo delicious. On top of that, the own is super nice as well. We were chatting for a bit with the owner and she mentioned that they opened the restaurant out of love for Sichuan food, and you can tell that from the food they make. I’d definitely go back again and recommend to anyone who would like to try authentic Chinese food.
