Jrego's Gathering Place - Ellington

I give this restaurant five stars because the waitresses are very friendly and the sticky ribs are consistently delicious. However, I have some feedback regarding a panini I ordered that was advertised to have shaved steak. The steak was actually thick cut and tough, which was not what I was expecting. When I brought this up to the chef, they insisted that it was shaved steak of better quality. This didn't sit right with me as I have had the sandwich before and know what shaved steak is supposed to be like. Despite this, I still recommend trying this place as it is great overall. This feedback is more for the ownership to consider, as it was concerning to be told that I was wrong about something that was clearly not as advertised in the menu. I understand that actually shaving the steak may be an extra step, but I believe the sandwich was better the way it was before (if the chef changed the recipe).

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a relaxed meal. I tried the chicken and waffles and they were absolutely delicious, I highly suggest giving them a try. The Mediterranean platter was also excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. For a dinner at this place, expect to spend around $30 to $50 per person. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 4 out of 5. I would recommend trying the Mediterranean Platter and the Boneless Crispy Chicken Waffle.

I tried the Cuban pulled pork crepe and it was incredibly delicious. The service was quick and our waitress was attentive. I would give it 5 stars across the board and will definitely return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Please bring back the Philly Cheese Steak Panini. That was by far the best menu item (aside from the Sticky Ribs). I understand it is seasonal but the Philly is substantially better than the other seasonal steak sandwiches. Sincerely: A customer who really badly wants the Philly Cheese Panini back so bad that they check weekly to see if it was brought back.
