Ye Olde Centerton Inn - Elmer

We have attended several family gatherings at Ye Old Centerton Inn, and the food and service have consistently been excellent. We made reservations for around 35 people, and everyone praised how well the Inn handled everything. Thank you, Ye Old Centerton Inn!

I called today (8/18) to make a reservation for a party of four on Tuesday night (8/27) at 5 PM. The person who answered informed me that he would need to call me back because he was expecting a large group that evening. When he did call back, he said he couldn't accommodate my reservation due to a party of 30 scheduled for dinner. This left me puzzled, as the restaurant has six or seven different dining rooms, and I couldn't understand how a party of that size would prevent my small group from being seated at 5 PM. He mentioned that they only had enough staff to serve the larger party. I'm honestly baffled by how a restaurant can operate under these conditions, only managing to serve 30 guests on a Tuesday night. It's quite disappointing.

My wife and I celebrated our 37th anniversary there today, and we had a wonderful experience. Our server, Sean, was attentive and efficient, and the food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this charming restaurant, especially if you appreciate historic buildings—it felt like stepping back in time. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable!

An absolute gem in Southern Jersey. First of all, the restaurant is the 3rd oldest in the United States, over 300 years old so you get a cozy colonial atmosphere. If the history isn't enough for you, the food is excellent. I had brisket egg rolls as myappetizer served with an au jus sauce and horseradish. The garlic house salad is so good, bursting with freshness and flavor.Finally, I had the New York Strip steak with fries. The fries were crispy and nicely well done while the steak was delectable.Just a perfect cut of meat, perfectly cooked. We have a great time chatting with the owner and our wonderful bartender who hitus off with some historical cocktails, including a Devil's Whiskers. It was a great way to top off our evening.

Great place. Amazing history come for the building, stay for the amazing top notch reasonably priced food. Awesome service to complement Shawne?s awesome handlebar mustache. Great drinks too! Thanks for a great experience. We will be back!
