Cilantro Taco Grill - Elmhurst

The food was served cold, and the meat had an off-putting flavor, as if it had been sitting out for a while with little to no seasoning. The horchata was warm and lacked any real taste. Additionally, they were very stingy with the salsa and carrots. I usually enjoy cilantro, but honestly, you're better off going to the location on North Avenue in Northlake.

The restaurant has been updated and is really spacious. It's clean and the staff are friendly. There are countless options to choose from, and my current favorite is the taco salad paired with the hibiscus drink. I love that I can conveniently grab bottles of each type of salsa every time I visit. With over 15 meat options, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Ordering ahead saves time, but there's also a nice seating area to wait in.

I had a delivery experience through Grubhub that left me feeling discriminated against. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was supposed to be ready, but I was completely ignored. It wasn't until I spoke up and mentioned what I was there for that the woman informed me my order wasn't ready yet. After waiting 15 minutes, I became frustrated because several customers who came in after me were served before I was. It took me repeatedly stating my order about five times before I finally received it. I just want to emphasize that the time and gas wasted during this visit cost me both money and time, which are valuable to me. That being said, I did notice some items on the menu that I'd like to try in the future, and I hope to update my review then.

The food is really good. The reason for the rating is it said you receive a discount for paying cash. I did and didn't get a discount. He forgot to charge or give us the drinks. No air-conditioning so it was Hot. No atmosphere No music

I?ve had 2 experiences here both really bad. For at time I ordered vegetarian meat option and they gave me beef, I understand mistakes happen but the woman was so rude about it and lied and said the vegetarian meat was like beef. It wasn?t till I wenthome and decided to go in AGAIN to show them the meat and I had to be the ?I want to speak to a manager? and the managerinformed me the vegetarian meat was not like their beef option. The woman went out of her way to lie, the manager was nice tho.Second time I ordered the vegetarian meat, they give me tacos with NOTHING besides beans and rice as the filling. I called andshe said it?s because I asked for vegetarian meat, not veggie meat ??? That makes no sense. Honestly I don?t get this place.
