Bakerton Athletic Association - Elmora

A few things to note about this place before I continue with my review: 1. This place is off the beaten path. 2. This is a member's only establishment. 3. If you do not know someone that is a member here, you will have to join yourself. After that is stated, this place is very, very dated. Not much has changed on the inside since the day they opened the doors. Every thing looks very early seventies. Wood paneling, checkered floors, urinals that go all the way to the floor (you know, those ones where after you've had a few, your shoes have more urine on them than the urinal has in it). Speaking of the bathrooms, you must be a bit leery of them. The men's bathroom is located downstairs. The women's bathroom is located upstairs. That being said, the stairs have not had any maintenance since they day they were installed. The steps are curved off and some are bowed. The area that can be used to hold events is actually fairly big. Enough space to have tables everywhere and an open space for a dance floor. You should be able to make arrangements if you are a member to book a party here. They are accommodations that will have to be dealt with. Parking is horrible, all gravel/dirt. *sometimes you have visitations by the local dog...who walks right in the front door.

Great lunch specials. And down to earth crowd.
