Feedback gevenThe Food was great, all of it. We had the chicken, Kebab (2 types) and Manto. The quality is good and the amount is good. The service was average, although the restaurant was almost empty. The price is ok, not cheap but not expensive.I will go back for sure.
We ordered two takeout tikka kebabs and chicken kebabs for a total of $40. However, for that price, we received very small portions of meat, some rice, and bread. I could have easily eaten everything myself and still been hungry. To make matters worse, they messed up our order and gave us something completely different. This forced me to drive back to the restaurant to exchange the incorrect food for our correct order. Additionally, the food was cold, except for the rice which was surprisingly hot. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and not worth the money. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
A voucher lunch today. Shared Chapli Kebab entrée, two mains (Mantoo, and Lamb Qorma) and shared Sticky Date dessert, with bottle of wine. All very tasty. My wife loves Sticky Date and she said this was the best, and she told the owner. This is how to treat voucher guests - provide lovely food, very friendly service, and people come back. I don't know what happened to other reviewers who had a bad experience. I am not that fussed about the decor where I eat, unless it's dismal. Just walking into Kabul, the smells were lovely. I just wrote another review for an "up market" restaurant that could learn a thing from Kabul!
I went to the restaurant last night with a couple of friends. We tried the Badinjan Borani, Lamb Qorma, and Chicken Qorma dishes, which were all served with Afghani bread or rice. The meat dishes came with a small salad that seemed to have been made ahead of time. The food was good but not amazing, and the portions were small. We also ordered the Khorma pudding, but couldn't taste any cardamom in the sauce - it tasted more like store-bought custard. The service was pleasant, and I noticed another table enjoying delicious-looking kebabs. The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night. I might give it another try, as it could have just been our food choices.
I ordered a lamb rack with potato and mushroom from a set menu . The place was almost empty , except 2-3 people . It took almost an hour to cook the "masterpiece". I was extremely disappointed - the lamb was overcooked and 3 pieces of potato were undercooked . The staff was quite arrogant , so I ended up paying half the price for a piece of junk .I don't believe that this restaurant charges $28 for a small piece of meat . Waste of time , low quality , expensive and unprofessional service .
