I was playing a card game with a few people here, relaxing for a considerable period of time. It wasn't noisy (which I enjoyed) and we received excellent and friendly service. The pizzas were shared amongst the group and I enjoyed them keeping in mind you aren't paying top dollar. Three star would not be fair, so I'm rating a four.
Best value for money cafe in Eltham. Friendly, family atmosphere with very tasty homemade food. You can order from the menu or vary it to suit your own taste. Yum.
My wife and I have coffee and occasional extras at Aromas, a few times a week. Their coffee is rich and consistent in quality and their shop baked pastries (love their pecan tarts) are delicious. It's usually busy and chatty with a cosmopolitan ambience. <br/ <br/ The staff are friendly and are always urging customers to try out their newest gourmet creations and neapolitan take aways. We can honestly say we have never seen any friction there just lots of good humoured, quick witted repartee that never fails to bring a smile and sense of engagement for everyone present. <br/ <br/ Thoroughly recommended. Friendly low profile breakfast/lunch spot that also serves rich, full-consistency coffee. Space is a bit cramped but is cosy with a seemingly strong camaraderie between staff and regulars, particularly those who are football fans. Only takes a few visits and your tastes in coffee are memorised for all time. A nice alternative to the popular 'Main ' restaurant nearby. .
The coffee is great, and they offer a delicious weekend breakfast menu. The meals are very tasty and the restaurant is clean with friendly staff. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors, and the food is served promptly.
