La Zanyas Restaurant & Bar - Eltham

On a cold winter night entering a crowded one would expect to be engulfed by warmth and comfort. Unfortunately that was far from the case here. Despite a lovely warm meal, we kept our coats on but had to shiver through the entire sitting. It was too cold to stay for dessert.

Rain, hail or shine the place to grab a excellent pizza, pasta or risotto in Eltham. Very friendly staff.

Went for dinner and it was very nice. Good service and very nice food, with a decent menu selection. Waitress reeled off all the specials, off the top of her head. Big window fold back so you can enjoy it at anytime.

We were invited to the restaurant by neighbours as a thank you for looking after their property and chooks whilst they were away. We trolled through the menu and then found out that because our neighbour had vouchers our choice was limited to Pasta, Pizza and Risotto with arancini balls for an entrée. These were the gluggy rice with mince and peas. Very tasty but three per person for an entrée served with garlic aioli was very filling. Then the lasagne arrived. My goodness, the amount served for one would have done my partner and myself combined. We always carry a "doggie box" as our two dogs and the cat expect a treat when we have been out for dinner at night. Thank goodness because at least the equivalent of a meal went into the box for their treat. The restaurant gave our neighbours their share for their chooks. (Overseas visitors, these are hens). The service was good, the wine tasted fine. The prices were reasonable

Dining on a voucher deal, we were more than surprised with the choice of options on their extensive menu. First offer was an entrée to share, we opted for the Antipasto plate followed by your choice of mains. Our selection was the Caesar Salad & a Filet Mignon cooked to perfection. Both were well prepared an very tasty & filling. A glass of complimentary wine and finally Chocolate Mousse & coffees finished an excellent meal. I must comment on the pleasant & helpful wait staff, they were excellent. I would certainly endorse La Zanyas to lovers of Italian fare.
