Had a lot o flavours ingredients that all mixed well together. At first I wasn’t too sure if rice was a good choice to have for breakfast but it definitely was. I feel though if you didn’t have the pulled pork apart of it, it might have been a bit bland.
We were seated outside on a lovely sunny day with a wonderful view! <br/ <br/ Two of us had the beef burger and chips, which they really enjoyed. I had poached eggs with their tasty gluten-free bread, hollandaise and mushrooms. It was one of the best poached egg breakfasts I have had! Lovely! <br/ <br/ Overall, it was a wonderful brunch. Thank you!
Stonehouse is a very comfy place to visit. Their meals are consistent and the waiting staff are always on the move. Ambience is fantastic. As customers, we all want a 5 star experience, but remember, this is a cafe where you, as a customer are able to chill out and enjoy life for an hour or two. Bad reviews are not necessary. Constructive reviews are the ones that rectify a business's lack of knowledge.
Perfect place for morning tea and a cold winter's day!<br/ <br/ ATMOSPHERE:<br/ We we're very luckily seated in front of the fire place which was fantastic due to the cold weather. I loved the heritage feel of this cafe, made me feel extra cosy!<br/ <br/ FOOD:<br/ Visited Stonehouse Cafe with my mum for their Tuesday special High tea.<br/ The high tea included:<br/ Soup of the day<br/ Spanakopita<br/ Reuben Sliders<br/ Omelette<br/ Scones w Jam and Cream<br/ Massive Macroons<br/ Mango Cheesecake<br/ <br/ REVIEW (5/5): <br/ I was so pleasantly surprised with this cafe and their high tea it makes me smile writing this. The venue was amazing and the high tea was up their with the best I've had and that's a lot. I must add that their portion size was very generous. If you're looking for a perfect morning with your mum, grandma or friends then this is the place to be. Absolutely cannot wait to return!
A lovely walk along the river from the main shopping strip to Stonehouse Cafe. We were welcomed and seated quickly by a friendly waistress for lunch. Clean, rustic, cosy and open woodfire for a cold winters day (and outdoor balcony seating overlooking the gumtrees and river for warmer weather). Being a cold winters day I ordered the soup which was delicious and a generous portion along with buttery crusty bread, yum. My mum ordered the japanese pancake dish and dad ordered the beef burger and both enjoyed their meals. I have dined here several times and I have had consistently friendly staff and top quality meals. Coffee was great (we ended up buying some coffee beans) and I enjoyed the chai latte however it could be a bit spicier. A Warrandyte gem...highly recommend.
