Went on recommendation to try full English breakfast Young lady serving was efficient and spoke good English Served hot and well presented although would recommend that they cook the fried egg on a heated plate rather than in oil As a consequence the grease factor was higher than I would expect In my opinion there are better English breakfasts available on the urbanisation with less grease
Situated on the main street in La Marina, Cafe Gernika is a really good place to stop and watch the world go by. They close late afternoon, so don't leave it too late, but perfect for lunch. The waitress was really friendly, offered very efficient service, and even helped me with my Spanish! Apart from that, the tapas was amazing. We had chorizo in cider, patatas bravas, octopus, ham cheese, and all were really delicious. We also had spicy pork, which was good, but not in the same league as the other dishes. The beers on offer were also good quality, and the espresso was excellent. Although we didn't have any, the cakes also looked amazing. Cafe Gernika is well worth a visit or two.
We had breakfast here when visiting relatives nearby. The cafe/bakery is light and airy with large seating area. We all had a 'full English ' which was very good, although they did forget the Hash Browns! The coffee was excellent and we would certainly return when in the area.
We enjoyed a nice lunch. A couple of pizzas and some sandwiches. The staff made us very welcome and our children enjoyed the whole experience.
