Cell Block Steak House - Ely

That was a fun experience. The Steak dinners we had were very good. The servers were very busy, but we still felt like we had a good service.

Excellent food, excellent place! I took my family from four here after arriving in Ely late at night. Although it was Friday night, we only had to wait 15 minutes. The prison cell theme is really neat. Those who complain about authenticity obviously did not read the back of the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and often checked. I rarely ordered the Ribeye medium with the stuffed potato and house salad. My wife ordered the fillet mignon, stuffed potato and house salad. Your steak was the best ive cost in a while! Both steaks were on site and spiced. The asparagus was nice and delicate, but not overcooked. The stuffed potato was not too bad, but I would probably order a baked potato next time. It didn't taste bad, it was just what I expected. The beans were also great, I love the bacon pieces and spices they use. The price is kind of high, but I expect it from a steakhouse. I definitely recommend this place!

I went to Ely a few times a year. This is the first time I ate the cell block. Had a big ribeye! Cool place. Update: Sad to see that they are closed on Monday and Tuesday in winter:

Unbelievable Steak dinner! The service was excellent. And the atmosphere is fun, but elegant at the same time.
