Route 66 Motor Inn - Emerald

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst traveling for work. On my second day when I returned in the afternoon, I was surprised to see the room had not been cleaned or made up. I asked at reception about this and they said that I hadn’t put the ‘paddle’ on the door to advise housekeeping to make up the room.My room did not have the ‘paddle’ and I was never advised of this system on checking in.Their website says the rooms are maintained daily, it doesn’t say maintained daily only if you put the paddle on the door very poor service.If you are looking at staying at this location with the view of the motel resembling the iconic Route 66 with memorabilia etc then forget it, nothing at all, in fact, reception didn’t even know what Route 66 was.On a positive, I ordered room service for dinner and the meal was very good.

Excellent service friendly staff great accommadation

Beautiful and comfortable stay with beautiful staff who will house me at short notice. only comment I would make about the room, the bathroom is in a strange place, with the window on the communal passage in the upper floor. it is not a huge window and usually glazed, so not panic, but as a particularly self-confident person it was a little strange! otherwise I had a nice stay! the room was comfortable, affordable and well maintained. would be staying here again if I came through emerald

I noticed a significant improvement since my last stay. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was excellent. Room: 5/5; Service: 5/5; Location: 4/5. Overall, a wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and I enjoyed a delicious meal delivered right to my room. I would definitely stay here again!
