Rooms are spacious and beds firm, a plus for me. 2nd floor of the casino contains a defunct themed Irish pub that is completely empty. The pool is also defunct and has been reputposed for storage. The casino jas a manicured island in the pond behind the casino, but no walking paths or shade of any kind. I hear by revoke their resort status.
Our safari king suite was very nice. Loved the setup with the decor and warm feeling it gave. Only problem we had was bed alittle to firm and the three small pillows they have to sleep on was hard as rocks. We both had stiff necks and headaches from them. Definitely need to replace pillows with something alittle softer or suggest you bring your own
We live a few hours away, had gone to Okoboji for the day and stopped at Wild Rose on the way home. We've been there a handful of other times. Was a disappointment this visit, for sure. My favorite machines were gone, what I did play was unbelievably tight. Zero payout. Coffee tasted like it had been brewed last month, and my shoes stuck to the restroom floor ? WON'T GO BACK
We live a few hours away, went to Okoboji and stopped at WR Emmetsburg on the way home. All of my favorite machines are gone, zero payout on anything, bathroom floor was very sticky ?, coffee tastes like it's been there 12 hours. Will NOT be back.
They were hosting 2 or 3 weddings the weekend I was there, but the staff were friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean and well kept. The casino was sized for the area, but covered all of the games and betting one would expect to find.
