Feedback gevenWe stayed here in july 2018. it was a great place !!!! we felt really welcome and enjoyed the fresh air and the amazing vue. The meals in the restaurant are very good. The cheese is incredible.
Thank you gerard and tineke (augustine)!? for a beautiful stay!The room was unbreakable (bearing beds) and meals were very good quality (from the garden of Gerard). And the chris meat (the son of gerard and tineke) of the qualite we didn't often have!Thank you also for the small moments together (with the little genepi of the house). We'll be back next year!
Our unforgivable mistake: not having read more reviews before booking! ! we land in a couple, at the end of the day after booking, a few days before. aperitif imposed by Mr., who declares that he does not hold a license to sell alcohol. no map, no menu, no information available. surprise, oh, surprise. we learn later that the menu is imposed: 8 different dishes, cooked mainly with vegetables, fruits, etc ... from the garden.The eight dishes are actually small containers similar to tiny cassolettes. the wine is chosen to the blind, without a map, and without a price. Very good, we must recognize him. It is only in the third dish that we hear, following an insisting demand, of the price of the imposed menu: 32 euros / person.As for the glass of tasty wine, and the entire bottle requested: silence and mouth sewn. of the room in which some thirty guests gather, divided into a half dozen tables, we hear shouting the Dutch patronage, unhappy with the French patron. After more than three hours spent at the table, and after having "wasted" 6 dishes, 3 of which are covered with an egg of chicken, or caille, we feel the mustard fill our nostrils and choose to shorten our sufferings, invoking a medical emergency. At the time of the check, surprises follow one another: only cash is accepted by Mr., no discount is offered for the last two unconsumed dishes (or) and the total presents an amount of 124 euros. In summary: 2 aperitives, a bottle of wine (good, of course), and a glass of another wine, for the modest sum of 60 euros, in addition to the two menus imposed and depriving customers of a pleasant tasting, to 32 euros per person. dishonnete, manipulator, ... to avoid radically since, apart from the decor and wine, good but very expensive, nothing is worth the trip ... overrated from overrated. the shame of the French restoration.
We spent an excellent stay at the sheepfold! Gérard and augustine have reserved us a great welcome and have been to the care with us! the products of the farm cultivated by gérard are cooked by augustin with a lot of talent! our room, very warm offered a great comfort and the king size bed had a very good bedding! The New Year's Eve was very good with a wide variety of dishes that enchanted our taste buds! the living room and its fireplace is beautiful! We will keep an excellent memory and return there without hesitation!
Thank you to gérard and augustin for this good and beautiful stay! during this weekend, the time stopped to return to the source and to the essentials.We had a very good reception, very good advice of gérard, an unusual hike with the dog; pati, and cat, simple and tasty cuisine with good garden vegetables, prepared by Augustine. The room is charming, clean with what it takes (for the ladies, think about taking a hairdryer), a good bed linen and a pleasant view.For a simple, natural weekend, without just the basic TV, it is done for you!I strongly recommend !elodie et johnatan
