I walked in alone and asked to be seated, but the busboy needed to check first before allowing me to sit at an empty table. I was dressed in comfortable attire...
1. This is one of the top spots in all of San Diego. 2. The staff went above and beyond. 3. It's rare to come across a place like this. 4. Some might say the prices are a bit steep...
Today, my husband and I chose to have lunch at a Peruvian restaurant in Encinitas. While I'm trying to dine more in Carlsbad, sometimes I venture into neighboring cities. The restaurant is a charming spot with colorful walls and a beautifully painted ceiling. Our waitress clearly had South American roots. We ordered the Pescadora sandwich and the Pobre sandwich, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful, featuring roasted peppers, onions, cilantro, and a jicama-infused salad. Each sandwich comes with delicious homemade sweet potato fries. This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting!
Had the calamari appetizer and salmon main course, both excellent.
