We went for their Valentines dinner as we wanted to see the new dining room upstairs. The dining room is nice, everything else not so much. They must have had some catering service (that was terrible) doing the service. The bartender complained about having to serve us and that her ex's lawyer was there. We received our salads prior to our appetizer, my steak was med well instead of med rare as ordered. My wife's pasta was crunchy she said. The guy behind us got his salad after his entree' it was a mess really. If I was the owner there or the manager I would have been up there making sure all went as planned there wasn't many people there. All that being said it's my favorite pizza, so I'll stick with that going forward.
Definitely the best pizza in the area. can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu 5
Joey's has the best pizza around. and also their ice is the greatest. definitely one of my favorite places. I highly recommend this place
We like Joey's pizza and the Italian ice. So much so that I decided to purchase a gift card last year for my friend to take her daughter because they live in Endicott. When she went, the gift card reader was apparently down? Or was in the process of being changed over to a new system? and they were told they couldn't use it. This is where a manager or owner should have simply comped the value of the GC from the bill and taken the card. Simple. Instead, they told her they'd take her info and mail her a new gift card when they got their new system. This is mind boggling to me. I can't remember exactly how long this took but I know it was months. So she finally got her replacement gift card. Today she went to get Italian ice (which is what I had in mind when I got the GC! and she was told you can't use gift cards at the Italian ice window. I'm not a complainer and I work in food service, but I am frankly embarrassed and annoyed that a gift I gave someone turned out to be such a hassle! Twice now she has gone with the intention of using a gift card and twice had to pay with her own money. Kind of defeats the purpose of going! I considered writing this review when the gift card fiasco first happened, but now that she's had this kind of experience yet again, I finally decided to. I'm not sure what kind of solution there is, except maybe be more explicit about how your gift cards work? Is there fine print somewhere that I missed? Or maybe just idk, accept gift cards. The Italian ice is cash only, you could take the gift card and write on it the adjusted total if the issue is not having the equipment to run them. Or use paper certificates. Anyway, I definitely will not be buying anyone else a Joey's gift card again.
