The Fox And Hounds Restaurant Bar

A lovely location and bright open dining area. Love the outdoor seating. BUT the staff were totally disinterested in us. I used to live nearby and after a walk in the great park stopped in for a meal. Thursday evening at 8.30 and there were few diners. But the staff were totally disinterested in serving us. After waiting ages I had to go upto the bar to order and was asked to sit back down as they had table service. Ordering dessert took forever as the staff were chatting and not paying attention. However, the food was excellent and we loved their featured cocktail. This is such a lovely pub with many good memories. These would have been reinforced of the team on duty has paid any attention to their customers!!

The venue and the food were great and fully deserve 5 stars, but the customer service deserves even more stars! we were looked after by 4 or 5 different staff all of whom went above and beyond (just little things like remembering it was a birthday booking and thinking to say happy birthday, and remembering we were watching the football final on a phone and asking about the game) as well as doing their job properly (remembering to bring the water we asked for, sadly not aways a thing). All in all a lovely lunch and we can thoroughly recommend!!!

It’s always wonderful visiting The Fox and Hounds in Englefield Green. The atmosphere and food are always wonderful. The staff are friendly and always make you feel comfortable. It also is a great location for a walk into The Great Park.

Lovely choice for our relaxed family birthday celebration food and service could not be faulted just what we were looking for thank you all!
