My office is right across the street from their location in Soho and we love to have their pastries for breakfast or desserts for birthday. We have been working from home since March so we miss their pastries so much and decided to visit their *flagship store* in NJ to get all the goodies we miss at once. We were there at around 10am on a Sunday and there was a line but the wait wasn’t too bad. They limited the capacity to have 6 customers maximum. There was a great variety of options from pastries to desserts with reasonable prices and we had a super difficult time making our decisions. We ended up with 9 different pastries and 2 desserts to share with 4 people. We had the ham cheese croissant and pecan sticky bun as our brunch right after our visit. The croissant was crispy with melted cheese and flavorful ham. The pecan sticky bun was puffy and soft with crunchy pecan both on top and inside.
I didn't even know there was a location in NJ. I had the almond croissant , mini pastries and the tomato eggplant galette along with an iced latte. All were absolutely delicious !!!! Definitely French standards ! The place is also getting 5 stars from me in their response to covid. They have minimal customers allowed inside, plexi-glass, staff is wearing masks face shields and they require each customer to wear masks and to use the hand sanitizer as they step inside. Very good food and I'll be back again !
I've been to the bakery many times. Apparently they had to get a zoning variance in order to open a retailstore at that location (I know the attorney). The place was recently renovated and it has a nice festive feelto it. There is a wide assortment of breads and pastries. Also there is fresh coffee (not a huge variety). You will be getting recently baked goods so you really can't go wrong! Parking can be tight at times but it generally moves quickly (don't park in the loading zone).
FLAWLESS we stopped here to get a couple scones and a cake for a dinner party. And walked out with 2 full bags of goodies. From savory pastry treats to sweet decadent ones you'll find more than you expected. There's always a line, but worth the wait.
Excellent. One of my old time favorite bakeries around NYC. Selection is always ample and quality is tops. A real French bakery. World class. Definitely worth a visit.
