Sam's Southern Eatery - Enid

This was a fantastic experience! We ordered the #2 burger ???? basket. These burgers were made with fresh hand packed meat! They were absolutely huge! We will definitely go there again! Sorry the pictures are sideways. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food given.

Well there's no way to sugarcoat this review, I have never had to throw good food away especially seafood or Cajun. I was in town in Enid Oklahoma for business. Some of y'all know I am the Hotshot Trucking extraordinaire and I travel all across the region, several States and Texas. I like to reward myself what a hotel and a nice meal, sample the local fare, doordash or Uber Eats. On this particular day there was a lot of selection here in Enid Oklahoma, just your Nationals franchises. I saw they had a Sam's Southern Eatery and gumbo new fried oysters said it's really good. Wrong. I wanted a good selection it was very pleased when I first opened the tray, I was so excited and hungry. I grabbed one of the fried Oysters and had to spit it out. Mushy, so I tried another, it was dried up inside and black splotches. Really gross, and has me worried that I am going to get food poisoning, yikes. So I thought, at least I have the Gumbo, wrong, it was not hot, gritty and slimy. I love Gumbo and this was the first time I ever threw the whole $8.99 tax and delivery charges, tips. This is a real shame and waste of money. The fried fish was good, red beans and rice decent. Needed some hit sauce. I keep thinking to myself, dude, you should have known better than to order seafood and oysters in Enid Oklahoma of all places. I'm not slamming the Enid, my wife was born here. I'm just saying there's no oceans or Seas, only eat fresh seafood. I will post the pictures so you can see what I'm talking about and see I am not hating oh, I just tell it like it is. Peace out

Short and sweet: Kind service. Pretty good tasting food for the genre, but this particular location is FILTHY. Detailed experience: Visible black trails of grime on the floors. I had to peel my sandals off the carpet with every step and they slid on the greasy tile, especially in the bathroom. My hands stuck to the chairs and came away tacky and grimy. Customers wiped their own tables with napkins before sitting down. The staff were friendly and obviously working short (story of the world right now). The digital display menu was wrong. I ordered chicken wings for my son, 6 at $7.99. They were actually $11.99. Very expensive for the food and dining space quality.

This was my first and last visit to Sam?s. I ordered through drive thru around 6 pm on a Saturday evening. I was the only person at the drive thru, I waited a few minutes 5 or so) for someone to take my order which consisted of 2 fried shrimp po boys with fries. Pulled up to the window and I paid?. I then waited approximately 35-40 minutes before I got my order. She handed it to me, no apology for wait time but did tell me food was hot off the grill. I live approximately 10 minutes from there. Food was barely luke warm; there were 2 shrimp on each half of sandwich. One of the halves only had one shrimp on it. Lots of lettuce and big slices of tomato. Fries were so so? Very disappointed

Loved them in Texas, awesome to find one in Enid! Great fish and shrimp. Missed them since the tornado in Ennis closed them down. If you like southern fish and shrimp with awesome sides...
