I placed an online order at Lana and it was supposed to be ready for collection at 1.20. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff member I spoke to seemed uninterested. Despite arriving before other customers who were dining in, I had to wait until 1.50 to receive my food, a half hour later than expected. The employee who served me simply placed the bag on the table and walked away without saying a word. When I mentioned the delay, she rudely stated that she was only responsible for customers dining in, not for takeaway orders. I requested to speak to a manager, but received no response. I also contacted Lana about the issue, but did not receive a reply. While the food was satisfactory, I will not be returning to Lana due to the unnecessary rudeness of the staff.
Food OK, service ABYSMAL. New server did everything under protest except talking on her phone and leaving for her break. Uggh.
I visited recently for a weekday lunch for 2 (Wednesday 13th Apr) , the male staff member was busy texting on his phone when we came in but was kind enough to look in my direction when I said hello to him, it felt like I had bothered him by asking for a table for 2 (despite there being one other diner in the restaurant). The waiter grunted at me and said 'sit wherever you want ' charming. We sat down and had a look at the menu, the waiter approached quickly after and asked to take out order, we were still obviously deciding so I said no thank you and told him I would let him know when we were ready. Approx 1 min later he approached and asked to take our order (we weren 't at all), I asked for a curry and the waiter said 'with what? ' I anxiously read the options while he towered over us glaring at me as though I had deeply offended him. Food arrived, no check backs to see how the meal was, I had approach the bar to ask for some extra cutlery etc, we were left sitting with empty plates in front of us for 20 mins after finishing, we had wanted a dessert but decided it would be best to pay and leave as we were obviously too much of an inconvenience for the waiter. I went to the counter to pay and the waiter was busy speaking to his friend who had come in to say hello funnily enough the waiter had the ability to be welcoming and friendly to their friend but was blunt and dismissive to us. I have never felt like more of an inconvenience in a reatuarant. I I have read the other reviews and have to say this is not good enough given the fact that you are already aware of the problem with your staff 's manner, why is this still the case? Why are you not proving training on basic people skills? If you have then why are you allowing immature and rude staff to represent your business when there are people that would bite your arm off to get a job like this? Really disappointed and not intending to lecture at all but Lana are really doing themselves a disservice by overlooking quality control in terms of staffing. Ennis is a small town which really values respectful and charismatic customer service amd unfortunately you tick neither box.
Food too expensive and basic. Nothing special about the food. Overpriced. It's ok but wouldn't return and waste my money. Better chinese restaurants in town.
