Sherwood Inn - Ennis

Irelands answer to Wetherspoons but with a better atmosphere. Really good veggie and vegan selection but burgers are frozen. Lasagne was tasty but a bit to vinegary. Steak was good. Chips frozen. Staff really welcoming and friendly .

We never pass Ennis without going to the Sherwood. The good is fantastic, the price is unbeatable, and the staff are welcoming and very accommodating. My daughter had the Fried Brie to start, I had the chicken wings, Main courses were the Chicken Kievs, with chips, salad, veg and onion rings. As always great portions and amazing value.

We were delighted with the catering provided by The Sherwood for our wedding party in August and would thoroughly recommend Michael and his team. They were so professional and reassuring, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They catered for around 120 people and everyone was delighted and there was loads of food for everyone. The vegetarians and coeliacs in our group were very happy with their food. The menu was extensive and Michael selected a good variety of popular options for us. The cost was very reasonable and so many of our guests were raving about the food.

Unplanned stop in Ennis led us to the Sherwood Inn. We had to wait a while for s table which was an encouraging sign. The menu offered a LOT of choice. We settled for two Brie starters. They came with a lovely dressed fresh salad and chutney. Friendly efficient staff and interesting photos topped off a good experience.

I love the Sherwood, it's one of my favourite places to eat if your short on time. The food is consistently food, and service is nice and quick.
