Feedback gevenLove the atmosphere, very cold. Great service and good food. I have the blueberries waffles, bananas promote French toast, rock steak and eggs, lamb meatballs and another dish, it is pictured, but I don't know what it was. Everybody was great! Rock Steak with the sauce was my fave! I'm back!
This place is excellent. I generally like ribs with a bit more bark but these were moist, tender and flavorful like few others. It was a beautiful day and sitting at the picnic tables was really fun. The folks that run it were really friendly and walked around talking to folks. I tip well when I am in a regular restaurant but I find it odd to tip for counter/window service. A tip jar for change is one thing but completing the Square transaction you feel like you are expected to leave a 10-15-18-20% tip.
The food is yummy and there are options for vegetarians and vegans, in addition to gluten free options. I highly recommend the Hannah's field salad. It's made with baby kale, quinoa, apple, dried apricots, toasted almonds, pickled red onion, and apple cider-mustard vinaigrette
First time eaters that will definitely be back! Lets start with our order! I ordered the two meat meal choosing the brisket and pulled pork paired with fries and cream style corn and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. We added on the slaw and mac and cheese because America and I wanted to try as much as possible. This is hands down the best barbecue I 've had. I imagine the owners were thinking before opening If its worth doing we 're going to do it right! And they nailed it. The brisket is so tender and juicy it melts in your mouth, the pork has the perfect balance of smoke and seasoning, the mac and cheese is creamy yet perfectly ooey-gooey! Creamed corn is simple yet phenomenal. I have absolutely no complaints and am 100% impressed with 242 Texas BBQ!!! God bless y 'all! (And yes I have had BBQ IN Texas and this still wins my vote!
Amazing brisket filled potatoes. Fill it out! The ribs were also great! The family is definitely proud of their product. Keep the good work young Phil
