My son was eager to take us here and had bought me their recipe book as a present. We weren't disappointed when we finally got here. The service was fantastic and we enjoyed a delicious brunch of beautifully presented food. I had the Avocado smash and it was superb. All washed down by great coffee, so good that I bought a bag of their blend of Ethiopian beans to bring back to Scotland with me.The guy who served us was a newbie there and said he was a trained sommelier and was planning some food & wine events for the future - shame we were heading home! Will just have to make do with trying some of their recipes out at home. Love the ethical concept of the place, hope it continues to thrive.
Came across this place by accident and was drawn in by their philosophy of helping train homeless youth. Had a very tasty breakfast and coffee and would recommend it to anyone!
The coffee that is made and served at Streat is amazing. The customer service is wonderful and it is refreshing to see this high level of service in a shopping centre. I later found out this establishment also gives back, it supports and provides training to disengaged youth, who at a high risk of homelessness. Trainees are learn the craft and upon graduation earn a certificate in hospitably. Fantastic Coffee, cookies, service and contributing to a positive movement! LOVE IT!
You never know where you're going to end up when Paul C (watch out for him) says mischievously "I know just the place".
