I am 68 years of age, and have visited every chip shop in Ilkeston, in my lifetime. Some of them are gone now. But this as to rank as one of the best.

We have just had fish &chips from here and I will never go there again .The fish was the worst I've tasted for years it definitely wasn't fresh (I know this because my husband was a fishmonger for 32 years .The batter ,well I've never tasted any like it, it was thick and hard ,not crispy as we thought it would be as we had to wait while it was cooked .The chips had been kept warm for a while but were ok .

In 20 plus years never had bad food yet wether its kebab or fish and chips its always fantastic normally go once a week and long may that continue
