Cake Zen - Erie

Great little sweets shop right down town. In the middle of all the popular bars and open late so you can satiate that sweet tooth. Very cheap prices for mad tasty cakes!

Recently had the opportunity to check this place out. I tried several items but my favorite was the Earl Grey Vegan/Gluten Free cupcake. Seriously bomb...and I 'm not vegan or gluten intolerant (so it 's not a, 'well it 's pretty good for something that 's vegan ' type thing). Coffee was great and bubble tea was actually delightful. I 've never had a bubble tea that I actually liked until my visit to Cake Zen.

I stopped in for a sampling of sweets since I noticed the shop earlier- I had the French Macaron- incredibly light, sweet- my favorite along with a lavender meringue- incredible- you have to try these two items! Also almond vanilla cupcake, chocolate and a donut. Each heavenly- can’t wait to sit for a coffee or tea next time along w sweets and plan to ask my children to order a cake there for my birthday!

Friendly staff, delicious pastries! The bubble tea was amazing. We were able to sample flavors of tea before we ordered. Evening hours on the weekend are perfect if you are downtown for a show or a game.

Friendly customer service! I got a bubble tea, their tapioca is aldente> just the right amount of chew and the tea itself has good flavor. I thought it was really neat that they use almond milk, as I'm lactose intolerant and many places don't offer nondairy milk or it costs more to get.
