Ace's Seafood - Ermington

The food is excellent and the portions are a good size.

We grab food on the occasional weekend when we feel like a burger or fish & chips. They are always busy but not so busy that you have to wait for ages. The food is always of a good quality and tastes good as well. Prices are fair.The only draw-back is that sometimes the parking around these shops is incredibly awful, otherwise we would visit more often but we typically try to avoid this shopping area.

My husband had looked up fish and chip shops in the vicinity of where we were staying. This had good write-ups and deservedly so. I wasn't sure about it on arrival, plastic tables and chairs placed outside, but entered to find a good wet-fish area as well as the fish and chip area. An order was about to be taken out to other customers, so we asked what it was. It looked good... We ordered two portions of fish and chips - the basic offering. We had considered taking it back to where we were staying, but decided to eat there instead. We had asked if BYO and told it was, so my husband went to a bottle shop a few doors away and bought a bottle of white to accompany our meal. The server offered us wine glasses and to help ourselves to the various sauces available. We sat outside at one of the plastic tables, napkins and cutlery being provided along with the glasses (plastic). The fish and chips were delicious and definitely worth the trip to Ermington. The fish was very fresh and well cooked. Chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle - just as I like them. We stayed until we had finished our bottle of wine, with the staff clearing our plates away, but happy we stayed. Service was friendly and efficient throughout.

Travelled from North Parramatta on the bus and contemplated taking our fish and trips back. However, they have tables inside and out, so we stayed. Very helpful staff. Great fish and chips and good location as bottle shop close by and so could have BYO. They even provided plastic wine glasses.

We moved into the area 3 months ago & this place has become our favourite for take away. Always fresh, great selection, freshly cooked & well seasoned topped by friendly service. A good seafood shop can easily be detected by its smell, in short there shouldn't be any. This shop is clean, has the freshest seafood in the area, 7 days a week, highly recommended!
