Kuma Sushi - Ernul

So first off... this place is amazing. We must commend our server, CODY the most exquisite and elegant water poured in the land l! He was kind and precise.and amazing and awesome. Best sushi I ever had. Fresh ingredients, the rice is next level, total package at Kuma. Highly recommend!

Okay, FOR New Bern, this is 5 stars.... For sushi in general, 3.5, so let's give Kuma 4 ! Miso soup (Excellent) Seaweed salad (delicious and super fresh). Sushi classics (Delightful but needs to be rolled better) as they were a tad lose. Dumplings (vegetarian) are good but have to be correctly sealed, as they opened when steamed. Specialty rolls, very good, no complaints. Teriyaki chicken, terrible. Cold, lacked flavor, as if they threw sauce on top of some sad chicken breast, it was very disgusting, but hey, this place is a sushi restaurant. Service (Trent or trey) good young man and attentive! Drinks on point! Cold beers, good cocktails, and soda. I'd definitely consider going to here if you haven't. I will absolutely be back.

Hands down our favorite sushi place in New Bern! Service is always stellar and the food is fantastic. A lot of times after eating japanese food from other restaurants, we feel like garbage. Never this case with this place! I don't know what they're doing differently but whatever it is makes a true difference in the food. This is definitely a favorite, especially in rainy weather! A bit pricier than other sushi places around here, but WELL worth it! We haven't been back to any others since we've tried Kuma.

Great hidden gem. Awesome sushi and saki selection. Nothing like it around. The biggest upside was Geoffrey. Great personality and server. Very knowledgeable about the sake and cuisine. If you come in make sure he is the one taking care of you. 10/10.

Excellent sushi. We had the Godzilla roll, spicy tuna roll and California roll and we loved all of them!
