All from the free maize bread, to the house salad with charred lemon, to the tamal, to the pork and twice baked potato....ruly incredible. The service was also top notch. They have a small kitchen, but seemed to do a good job to get all the food out in time. My duck came out almost 15 minutes after my order! If I come back to Escalante at any time, I'll bet again at the Devils Garden!
If you're worried about finding a good meal in Escalante, don't look further than Devil's Garden Grill. I highly recommend starting with the Duck Tostada and going from there. You can't go wrong. And if you're a dessert fanatic like me, get the apple cheesecake. The crust is excellent!
We had the Guacamole Club and Green Chile Patty Melt. Food was excellent. For lunch, all sandwiches are $12 and salads are $10. Gave it a 4 star for the lunch prices.
Best restaurant in the area! I had the rabbit with green chile polenta, which is apparently only available sometimes, and it was delicious. The side veggies had a great roasted flavor and the tomato chip was crispy and full of flavor. Definitely would go again!
Cool dinner stop. The tamales were so good. I ended up with the green chilli meatloaf. It was pretty good but was lacking in any green chilli taste. Veggies were fresh and tastey. My buddy got the stuff pepper dish and that was pretty amazing. Oh the cornbread served before dinner was one of the best cornbreads I've ever had.
