La Cantina - Escanaba

Wow is everything I can say. You go in and see the beautiful furnishings...so lively and unique. That makes you smile. Then greeted by a cheerful and friendly staff. The food is so good and authentic. I even had dessert, cheesecake chimis and they were really good and actually made in the restaurant.

We had a larger size group of people who dined and I thought the waitress had an amazing work. They seemed a little short staff, but our food was in a reasonable time and it was delicious. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that they didn't have Horchata. My son ordered the monster Burrito and I definitely recommend if you have a great appetite.

Chicken and shrimp Burrito with white cheese, salad sour cream with rice. Delicious! And the cook welcomed me. Home Margarita! Happy customer. Thanks, great experience, every time. Friendly service smiles faces.

We made a trip from Canada to visit Escanaba for the week! Looking for something else we found La Cantina, for Mexican cuisine. Our waitress was great, my son and our friend loved the food! If you want something absolutely delicious, order the Mango Margarita! Excellent! We know that the next visit to the UP will be a stop in La Cantina!

Decent variety of food. I would say overall I would give them a 4.5 if the option was available. They tend have the common Mexican food you find at most places. However they do offer a pork taco or El pastor that you don't find often which is nice. The lunch portions are a little small but with the rice and beans it makes just right. They recently have a new chef who seems to know what they are doing as the food seems to better then last time I was in a year ago.
