Canyon Grille - Escondido

Stopped in to the Canyon Grille as soon as we got to The Welk, and it was such a nice start to our vacation. Crispy Brussel sprouts and yummy onion rings for appetizers and a tefreshing lavender martini fir my friend a d a jalapeño coconut pineapple margaritas for me and mum. A lively refresher after our travel!

We have been coming to the Welk resort for 20 years. This place is not what it used to be. We visited May 2023 and this restaurant was way overpriced for what we got. The staff and service was great, the food was not. Over $200 for a table of three that should have cost $120.

Great casual atmosphere, nicest waitresses. Onion rings were perfect and a must have, and we both really enjoyed the wraps.

We ate breakfast here and seriously, the food was the worst we've ever had at a restaurant. They make their eggs with pre-mixed egg product. The bacon was 90% fat, the sourdough toast was not. The hash browns were ok. The food is overpriced, the atmosphere, well there isn't any. The staff and servers are excellent. We will never be back and I suggest you don't risk it.

I had a Mediterranean omelet which was OK. Hash and sourdough toast was good and coffee was disappointing. The service was good. I think the resort needs to update the dining options.
