I was told that two of the tables were locked in with games on day that it was supposed to be open tables. Then I put my name on the board for the third table. When the people before me scratched, I pulled the rack up and and was yelled at by a customer saying that they had made different rules to the game and that the game was still going. They also decided to add there names to the bottom off the board and lie and say it was already there. Instead of cussing that Fe mail out, I decided to not ruin my night and just leave. This is not the first time that this has happened at this bar, and why I have to tell myself again. Never come back. The local customers feel that they run this bar, and push out anyone looking for a good night out. Working in the hospitality industry, shows me that this is not the way a business should run and anyone who supports this kind of behavior should be shut down. For the bar itself. Small bar not enough seating for drinkers. Over run by pool leagues. Still with old decor and an old stench. Need a little TLC to everything as well as the customers they keep. I recommend people keep driving when they see that sign, and hit old town Escondido instead. At least their hospitality is much better and you have choices to where you want to go. Plus, there is plenty of chances to see classic cars cruising by. Thanks for feeding.
A very local atmosphere! I enjoy going there when they have pool tournaments - Sunday night.
I like that I don’t have to feel uncomfortable going there alone and I always meet others to talk to and have a good ole cheers conversation! Also, they don’t block or limit their jukebox music to a particular genre so you can play whatever you want to hear willing to pay for.
Stiff drinks, large bartenders and (3) Diamond Bar Boxes (7' Pool Tables). At the intersection of five streets in South Escondido. A shooter bar, the pool league most nights and tournaments some nights. Friday nights are open to everyone, 75 cents per game. Write the name on board to play. 4 stars because it is still a diver and not a food service.
Dive bar. Groovy vibes. Live music on certain nights
