Sushi Harbor - Escondido

I live just five minutes away from Sushi Harbor, and I feel incredibly lucky! I was never really a fan of sushi until I tried it here. This place is fantastic! I absolutely love the baked and fried rolls because I'm not a fan of the texture of raw food. I know, I know, but I just can’t get over it. I highly recommend this restaurant any day and at any time, especially since it has such a calming atmosphere and isn’t crowded.

We fully enjoyed our dining experience tonight. If you're going for ambiance, then stay home. The food, however is great. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Portions are very large and the prices are consistent for quality sushi in other restaurants. The range of available items is unreal there are 200 items available on the menu! We will certainly return.

Good, fresh sushi. Friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered three sushi rolls and an order of gyoza. The sushi was delicious...I ordered a crunchy roll, an avacado roll, and the 'Ed ' roll, which were all prepared quickly in front of me at the counter. The gyoza was a unique experience however because it came out more like an Italian dish than anything else. It was green and tasted more like pesto than anything, which isn 't standard as far as gyoza is concerned. It was good, just not what I was expecting. Price wise, it was a reasonable and worthwhile experience. It is definitely an establishment I will be returning to.

This cozy little restaurant has just 6 or 7 tables and features a simple, clean decor within a shopping center. The owners are very welcoming, and the service is quick and consistently excellent. While the wine selection is limited, the sushi is outstanding, whether you choose to dine in or take out. Everything is always tasty and reasonably priced.

This was my first time trying sushi, so I'm not sure if it's the best, but it tasted really good, especially for someone like me who used to say "ewww" to raw food! I tried the California roll and the Minnesota roll, which were both cooked, and I also had eel. On my second visit, I had the spicy tuna roll with raw fish on top, and it was delicious! The couple that runs the place answered all my questions and were very patient with me. Overall, the service was excellent!
