The Grand Tea Room - Escondido

This was my third time enjoying a complete Afternoon Tea experience, and every visit has been delightful. My friend and I make it an annual tradition to celebrate something special! The interior is charming and reminiscent of a classic tea room, complete with optional hats to wear during your visit. Even the restrooms are impressive enough to take a look at! There's a cozy yet significant gift shop right at the entrance. They offer options for allergens and vegan diets, and you also get an unlimited pot of tea! This place truly makes for a wonderful outing.

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time here, and I would definitely visit again.

I had a terrible experience with the management at this restaurant. I prepaid over $200 for an event, but when we arrived, they wouldn't let us in without proof of vaccination. We have it at home, but I never imagined that, as late as 2022, there would still be such a requirement. We purchased our tickets a long time ago, and my entire family was turned away at the door, with no option for a refund. As someone who frequently visits tea houses, I was really looking forward to this one, hoping it would meet my expectations, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience.

So glad this afternoon tea spot is in Escondido. The staff and owner is super nice and the tea selection is great. I always take my friends here if they want to experience afternoon tea. Update: Went again for the Pride Prejudice show and it was great ????

I brought my mom here to celebrate Mother?s Day and it was amazing. The tea and pastries are incredible and the people that work there are very nice. Everything is arranged to make you feel comfortable and pampered. My mom loved it.
